Direct Admission

▪︎ School of Engineering, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang invites qualified applicants to apply for admissions to the School of Engineering in 4 years Bachelor’s Degree Programs for Academic Year 2025 (beginning in August 2025). This round of admissions is opened to all applicants with excellent academic backgrounds. Selection of qualified candidates is based on the applicant’s academic records, standardized test scores, and English proficiency test results, along with a personal statement, letters of recommendation, past academic activities, the interview and other supplementary documents.

Remark : The number of accepted applicants may subject to change if candidates’ qualification does not meet the programs’ minimum requirements.

▪︎ The application process is conducted in accordance with KMITL’s guidelines, and also rules and regulations.

▪︎ The applicant must satisfy at least one of the following requirements:
   1) Graduated from or currently studying in Matthayom 6 (Thailand’s Education System).
   2) Graduated with qualifications equivalent to Matthayom 6, as recognized by the Ministry of Education. (Note that Applicants with this education background are requested to contact the SIIE office for further information.)
   3) Graduated from or currently enrolled in an accredited college or higher education institution in Thailand or abroad.

Remark : All applicants must submit an official final transcript, along with their official high school diploma and/or certificates of completion from their school, prior to the commencement of the Academic Year 2025.

Remark:
1. Applicants who achieve an English proficiency score that meets or exceeds the minimum requirements may be admitted unconditionally. (The provided test score must not be more than two years old.)
2. Applicants who fail to submit any English proficiency test score or have a score below the minimum score specified above can be conditionally admitted by enrolling in additional General Education English courses at KMITL during their first academic year.

▪︎ The applicant should write an essay (500 words or below) that provides insight into the reasons for pursing a degree program, including long term goals, motivation, and commitment, and also demonstrates your ability to communicate your thoughts systematically.

▪︎ The applicant should provide two recommendation letters written by your high school academic advisors or teachers of any subject in high school.

Remark: Applicants who have confirmed their enrolment in a specific program through the TCAS website (Clearing House) without processing a waiver will be automatically disqualified by Council of University Presidents of Thailand.

Step 2: Applicants must print the payment slip and deposit a non-refundable application fee of 1,000 baht at any Kasikorn Bank (KBank) counter (with an additional 10-baht fee) or scanning the barcode via any mobile Banking application (free of charge).
Remark: The applicant is responsible for any additional transaction fees incurred by financial institutions. Please be notified that the application fee is non-refundable. Eligibility for an interview will be informed to the applicant after the review of the application form and supporting documents is completed by the admission committees. The specific timing of the interview will be announced at a later date via the registrar website and the SIIE official Facebook page.
Step 3: Applicants must upload your application form and all supporting documents as specified below in one pdf file (no larger than 4MB) to the online application system.
   1) Your application form (Can be downloaded from the application system)
   2) A photocopy of the applicant’s national identification card or passport
   3) Academic Records – High School Transcript, SAT, ACT, IB etc.
   4) English Proficiency Test score – IELTS, TOEFL etc. (optional)
   5) Two recommendation letters from teachers or supervisors. (optional)
   6) Personal Statement (optional)
   7) Portfolios (optional) (No more than 10 pages including the cover page)
   8) Placement test results (optional): submit available AP, IB Higher Level, A-Level, or any grade 12 equivalent placement test results. The policy and criteria for placement credits will be determined prior to the applicant’s enrolment.

* The fees for Biomedical Engineering and Robotics and AI Engineering comprise of the tuition fee of 90,000 THB/semester and the supplemental fee of 15,000 THB/semester, which sum up to 105,000 THB/semester.
** The fees for Dual-Degree program in Financial Engineering comprise of the tuition fee of 72,000 THB/semester and the supplemental fee of 48,000 THB/semester, which sum up to 120,000 THB/semester.

▪︎ Academic Excellence Freshmen Scholarships are offered to applicants with excellent academic performances to pursue their undergraduate education in the international programs, the School of Engineering at KMITL. The scholarship will be granted to 1st year students for two semesters.
▪︎ Minimum Academic requirements are as follows:
   1) Achieved SAT General test composite score of at least 85 world percentiles (1,300)
   2) Achieved TOEFL score of at least 550 (paper-based) or 213 (Computer-based), or 79 (Internet-based), or IELTS score of at least 6.0.

Appendix
▪︎ Upon enrollment in the School of Engineering at KMITL, students are eligible to apply for the following unified programs (Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree programs) through the designated application process. Note that students are not guaranteed to be admitted to unified programs unless the requirements are met.

▪︎ Students will spend the first seven (7) semesters (3.5 years) at KMITL for bachelor courses, and do the 8th semester of Bachelor Capstone Projects at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), while at the same time do the Master’s program at AIT, credits earned from which will be transferred to the bachelor’s degree, students will have the opportunity to complete the master program in 3 semesters and 1 inter-semester (1.5 years).
